Meet Our Physical Therapy Staff

Meet Judy Rossi, PT; In June 2006, I was proud to open Canton Institute for Physical Therapy, finally realizing my dream of clinic ownership. Previously, I had been the director of a successful clinic in Woodstock, Georgia. As a clinic owner, I have had the opportunity to treat my patients with the number one goal of offering quality, individualized care in a friendly, personalized environment. My hope is to be a facilitator in helping my patients achieve their maximum attainable function through the use of a personalized exercise program, hands on manual therapy and the use of various modalities to speed the healing process.

I graduated from California State University at Long Beach in 1978 with a Bachelor's Degree in physical therapy. Through my 30 years of practice, I have furthered my education with innumerable continuing education classes primarily focused in the field of orthopaedics. Through the years, I have practiced in many settings including rehab centers treating stroke and brain injured patients. My first passion however, is the treatment of musculoskeletal dysfunctions.

When away from the clinic, my hobbies include trying to keep up with my three young adult sons, Kyle, Tyler and Jordan as well as my three stepsons, Nick, Frank and Dominic and even more importantly, my grandson Trevor. My hobbies include running and lifting weights, reading murder mysteries, trying to learn the piano and dancing with my husband Matt.

Meet Heather Scerbo; I have been employed as a Physical Therapy Aide for six years. During this time I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition, from Life University, and graduated in December 2007. Along the way, I also earned my certification as a personal trainer and nutrition consultant from the National Personal Training Institute. Building upon my nine years of college and continuing education, I aspire to become even more involved in the world of rehabilitation. In 2009 I will begin the pursuit of a degree in physical therapy.

My personal life is largely spent with family and friends, at the gym, and catching up on sleep.
