General Information For Our Physical Therapy Services & Treatments

The Canton Institute for Physical Therapy is conveniently located off of the I-575 exit for 20/Riverstone Parkway. Located in Canton, CIPT is an easy drive from either northwest Georgia or north metro Atlanta.

Being that CIPT is a therapist owned and operated clinic, as a patient, you will never feel the uncomfortable pressures that sometimes accompany a corporately owned clinic. Our staff is dedicated to the well being of each and every patient. At the Canton Institute for Physical Therapy we utilize a hands on approach in combination with therapeutic exercise. Our therapists provide one-on-one treatment with programs tailored to fit the individual. Whether you have an acute back injury from playing football or a reoccurring injury from gardening, we want to be the key to your recovery.

When the discussion of physical therapy first comes up people typically ask two questions. Please let us address those questions here -

What Is Physical Therapy? Physical Therapy is non-surgical rehabilitation that uses specifically designed exercises, myofascial (hands on) techniques, and patient education with the ultimate goal of maintaining and restoring maximum movement and functional ability.

Why Do Outpatient Therapy? Outpatient Therapy allows you to undergo treatments to help you gain the strength and mobility needed to return to work, sports and self sufficiency. Additionally it is a process which is more desireable than surgery or other invasisve procedures.

We pride ourselves on patient and physician satisfaction because we understand that they are the most valuable resource in building our practice. CIPT is constantly adding new programs to our list of services and new equipment to the gym. We strive to be the community’s best in rehabilitation. As a patient, you will see that CIPT stands out against the competition. We are all proud to be a part of the Canton Institute for Physical Therapy.
